Toni Hughes, LLMSW, MSSA
I aim to create a space for clients where they can feel safe to be who they are, and where we can work alongside each other in a collaborative manner to help you reach your therapy goals.
I can take Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Cross Complete insurances, or I can do private pay.
Hi, I’m Toni! I completed my Masters at Case Western Reserve University in 2022. During my time there, I did two internships. One was working in a clubhouse model along side clients to assist them in gaining skills, and the second was a child/teen therapist. While at Case, I received a trauma-informed therapy certification. Since graduation, I have been working as an individual therapist.
As a queer therapist, I am passionate about working affirmingly and supportively with those in the LGBTQIA2+ community–which includes writing gender-affirming letters. When working with clients, I favor using a client-centered approach where you decide what we focus on, because you are the expert of your story.

The main modalities I utilize are CBT, ACT, and DBT. These are used in an eclectic way; where I pull from other modalities and expressive therapeutic techniques, such as art or play activities, based on client feedback and interests on what they’re finding helpful and supportive. I use a phase-based approach for doing trauma work.
